#3: Ross is finally FREE

Last 24 hours were special. A lot happened. And one thing that overshadowed everything else was the pardoning of Ross William Ulbricht. He was imprisoned in 2013 for running the Bitcoin based darknet marketplace The Silk Road. He was a first time offender with all non-violent convictions, yet he was facing a sentence of 2 lifetimes and 40 years. Donald Trump kept his promise and pardoned Ulbricht rendering him free after 12 years. Suffice to say, the day ended with the wishes of a ton of Bitcoiners being fulfilled.

  1. Michael Saylor won’t stop — Michael Saylor has added another $1.1 billion to MicroStrategy's Bitcoin holdings, now totalling $48.15 billion in BTC. He has done it again, accumulating more Bitcoin as he continues putting his money where his mouth is.

  2. Bitcoin ETF Hits 1.1 Million BTC— The Bitcoin ETF has now accumulated over 1.1 million BTC, indicating institutional investors are all in on Bitcoin as a long-term asset. This is a testament to the growing acceptance of Bitcoin in traditional finance. And soon it might even replace it. In fact, Blackrock purchased $662 million worth BTC yesterday.

  3. El Salvador's Bitcoin Events— El Salvador continues its pioneering journey in Bitcoin adoption. They are planning to hold a Historic Week of Bitcoin events from January 27th to February 1st

  4. Bank of America Explores Bitcoin Adoption—In a significant shift, Bank of America has shown interest in adopting Bitcoin. They might use it bitcoin for low-cost remittances, make their online services better, and be a top bank for digital money. This could change things a lot, as more banks are starting to like Bitcoin.

  5. Bitwise Reveals Global Bitcoin Holdings—Bitwise has released a report on how much Bitcoin different countries hold. This news shows where Bitcoin is popular around the world. USA tops the list closely followed by China and Ukraine comes third.
